I don't think sup-rbeast was saying that the popular vote named the winner--he's been in enough political discussions to realize that. I think his point was that most of the time, throughout history, the popular & electoral votes agreed on who should be POTUS. That time back in 2000--it wasn't so. Lots of people feel that way, and still understand the simple point that the electoral vote decides it, not the popular vote.

But--thanks for being Captain Obvious.

I just wish we'd keep the political stuff on the political forum since that's what it was intended for, hence the name.

To be honest, I expressed interest in doing this a couple of months ago--but I relented. Now may be the time.

Having political threads being posted on the Politics forum would be nice (for those of us who could care less about politics since we are shafted regardless). We are seeing alot of Rep-Dem biz on the other forums.
